Our Purpose
The Lakeside Association strives to achieve the following educational and charitable objectives:

To preserve local history and traditions and educate area residents about the origins of our community.

To bring together year-round and seasonal residents to foster community spirit and maintain a sense of community.

To celebrate national holidays and local events, providing social, cultural and recreational activities for families and children.

To provide scholarships to college-bound area youth to broaden their opportunities.

To preserve the natural beauty and open spaces of the area and increase respect for our natural surroundings and heritage.

The Lakeside Association is a not-for-profit corporation formed under the laws and constitution of the State of Michigan and financed by donations and fund raising.
The purposes of the Association are to conduct educational and other charitable activities within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code.
The Association is governed by its board of Directors:
The Board is comprised of at least 10 people, including four Officers
Members of the Board shall have terms of two years and may be appointed for succeeding terms
Board members shall receive no compensation
